Attard's major knee blow

ST KILDA'S Jayden Attard will be out for nine months to a year after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament against West Coast on Friday night at Telstra Dome.

Attard underwent scans on Saturday after injuring his left knee during the match, and the tests confirmed the severity of the damage.

He will have reconstructive surgery in the next week.

In a club statement, St Kilda said it was "extremely supportive of Jayden’s rehabilitation" and it looked forward to him continuing his career.
