Bio: Gehrig’s sudden availability provides an intriguing twist to this year’s selection meeting. Gehrig will be 32 by the time the 2008 season kicks off, but there are a few teams whose attack would be instantly improved by the addition of the full-forward with 540 career goals to his name. Despite a mounting injury toll, Gehrig has not played fewer than 20 games in a season over the past five years and provides a strong focal point deep in attack.
