A tall all-rounder from Preston who broke into a strong St Kilda side at a young age. A brilliant mark and a long kick he could play in any key position and played as both a centre half-forward and full-back in his one game for Victoria. He won the Saints' best and fairest in 1942 and 1943 and later coached in Tasmania before returning to St Kilda as coach of the reserves and then other off-field roles around the club.
