| Michael originally joined the St Kilda Board in 2000 and stepped down in 2001 prior to a period of considerable change in the St Kilda ranks. In 2008 he returned to the Club that he played 43 matches for between 1979 and 1983 (in addition to 31 matches for Fitzroy).
In 2009, Michael was appointed St Kilda CEO after the departure of Archie Fraser and remains on the Board as Executive Director
