When the Saints Go Marching In
When St Kilda Football Club played at Junction Oval up until 1964, the theme song sung at every match was an adaptation of the tune "I do Like to be Beside the Seaside".
Upon the move to Moorabbin Oval, a popular chant called "We are the Saints" was sung by supporters, but it was the catchiest theme song in sport "When the Saints Go Marching In" that finally won the hearts of the red, white and black faithfull.
This most popular theme song 'unofficially' became Saints history at the end of the 1966 Grand Final win where "When the Saints Go Marching In" was sung loud and proud by the winning team.
