DFC Community (DFCC), the charitable entity, has been formally incorporated since 1 July 2023 and to date there have been no charges by the Club for the provision of services or occupation of the premises, other than minor utilities and event management charges.

To support the operations of the DFCC, St Kilda Football Club provides facility management, security, information technology, hospitality services, workplace health and safety services, legal, finance, payroll, and marketing services, fundraising support and commercial/sponsorship support and advice, as well as occupying office space within the Danny Frawley Centre building.

Given the significant resources and services provided to the DFCC by the Club, it is the intention and agreement of both parties that the Club will receive appropriate payment for the provision of the services, but, as agreed between the parties, not until this is affordable to the DFCC, and the services provided will be reviewed by independent auditors to ensure that the value of any service fee contemplated for the services is validated and assessed. In addition, as has been stipulated by the DFCC Constitution in accordance with both parties, the Club cannot profit from the charity as part of its agreement.

From the outset, the Club has been committed to honouring and lifting Danny’s legacy through continuing his work of increasing awareness and destigmatising mental health through preventative measures and community outreach.

The Club is committed to establishing a strong foundation for the DFCC as demonstrated by its efforts in establishing the charity, contributing to its offerings with existing club programs, absorbing operational and other costs, sourcing and encouraging corporate donations, while also investing significant amounts of management time to support the DFCC at no cost.

The Frawley Family have been great drivers of the DFCC vision and commitment and continue to be key stakeholders and ambassadors for the charity in honour of the legacy left by their late husband and father.

Chelsea Frawley remains a key employee of DFCC in her role as Community Impact Manager, and she has never been more energised in her role to help support the mental health needs of the community.

Anita Frawley remains a critical ambassador for the DFCC and the Club is working closely with the family on the 2024 iterations of Spud’s Game and Spud’s Lunch, along with the overall strategy of the DFCC.

Since its inception, the DFC has developed seven different Mental Fitness programs, delivered over 250 Mental Fitness programs, engaged 13,000 community members with its mental fitness programs, including 1,100 young people with its flagship program.

In late January 2024, DFCC will be adding further offerings including clinical psychology services for the community from the DFC facility in partnership with a local Psychology Institute which will shortly commence operations.
