As part of their ongoing relationship with Bayley House, a non-profit organistaion that provides assistance to adults with an intellectual disability, The Angels supporter group took 15 residents of Bayley House to St Kilda’s Round 2 match against Richmond on Friday 1 April.

While most of those from Bayley House who attended were St Kilda fans, a few Tigers supporters joined them and shared in the excitement of the match. With the range of support within the group, the heart-stopping draw ended up being the best result to keep the peace on the bus trip back to Brighton.

CEO of Bayley House, Janet Batey said; “The Angels did a fantastic job and should be commended for the effort they put into making the evening such a success.”

“[Angels President] Barb Datson reserved seating for everyone, made sure that those in wheelchairs were catered for, organised a few extra volunteers to assist us and even made a delicious batch of cookies and mini-muffins for the guys to eat at half time” Janet continued.

“Everyone had an absolute ball and enjoyed the match tremendously. Words cannot describe their experience; the sound of the crowd, the thrill of the goal-for-goal nature of the final quarter and of course the nail biting and anxious wait for the final siren.”
