There’s a message for all St Kilda fans in the Charles Leski Auction catalogue.

Charles Leski Auctions is the leading seller of football memorabilia in Australia and the auction of February 14 included an interesting couple of items listed in Lot 439.

Two books – “The Point of It All” and “Heroes with Haloes” featured on the auction block under an estimated price of $150 to $200. Each book sold for $40 at the time.

Copies of “The Point Of It All” rarely come up for grabs. In the last 10 years Leski’s have only offered three or four for auction while only  a couple have bobbed up on Ebay during the same time.

When “The Point Of It All” was published in 1991 it sold out in just 13 months. Even two decades later, the club still receives regular requests for it.

It is timely to note how St Kilda Football Club’s history books have sold in the past because the Club is producing a new book – “Strength through Loyalty – The Saints at Moorabbin and Beyond” which will be on sale early in May.

There has already been strong pre-ordering for the book – especially for the limited edition which retails at $350.

There are only 300 copies available. Each one is signed by our four 300 game players – Robert Harvey, Stewart Loewe, Nathan Burke and Robert Harvey and is leather-bound and comes in a specially designed souvenir box.
