Key Players:
• Leigh Montagna will hope to pick himself up after a disappointing game by his standards last week with a strong performance against Fremantle. If his numbers in recent games against Fremantle are to go by, he’s likely to do that. Montagna averages an impressive 31.3 disposals in his previous four encounters against the Dockers.

• Josh Bruce makes his return to the senior side after some very strong performances up forward for Sandringham in the VFL. Having been swung forward for the final quarter against Bendigo three matches ago, Bruce has had 11 scoring shots in the previous two weeks finishing with four goals while being a marking presence with 10 marks in each game.

• Nat Fyfe looms as the main danger for the Saints with the star midfielder continuing his rise into the game’s elite with a staggering last five weeks. Fyfe has been named in the best players each week while collecting at least 29 disposals in each game as the Dockers have gone undefeated during this stretch.
Take Note:
• Last year’s Round 23 triumph over Fremantle was the last time the Saints have scored 100 points or more in a game. The current streak of 17 games without registering a century is now the longest by the club since 1955.

• Fremantle has been a defensive monster this season, especially in the past eight weeks where the Dockers have kept their opponents to an average score of 55 points. During the same period, Fremantle has scored an average of nearly 101 points a game.

• One thing St Kilda has in its favour this week is the venue. The two teams have played each other eight times at Etihad Stadium with the Saints coming away victorious in seven of the meetings.
