Key Players
•  Perhaps the most pleasing performance stemming from St Kilda’s thumping win over Fremantle two weeks ago was what appeared to breakout game of young forward Rhys Stanley. Stanley took an equal career-high 14 marks and kicked a career-high three goals to help the Saints cause arguably the biggest upset of the year. Stanley will be hoping to carry this form on for the rest of the season and build towards a huge 2015.

• Jack Steven will be a very welcome return for St Kilda this week after completing his recovery from a thigh injury. Steven starred in the round nine encounter between these two teams, racking up a season-high 31 disposals while also kicking a season-high two goals.

• In the absence of star midfielder Gary Ablett, David Swallow has been one of the Suns’ best players as he continues to have a breakout season.  The former number one draft pick has recorded his career-highs for disposals, kicks, handballs, marks, goals and tackles all from games played in 2014, illustrating his rapid improvement this year.

Take Note
• Gold Coast will be without its captain Gary Ablett for this clash. Ablett was at his ruthless best in the round nine clash between these two sides, collecting 37 disposals and kicking four goals in a clear best-on-ground performance.

• Last year’s loss to the Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium brought to an end a four-game winning streak for the Saints at the venue since 2008.

• The epic 58-point win against Fremantle last round was the biggest win by any team in Round 18 and Fremantle’s equal-biggest loss for the season.
