Following initial assessment yesterday, Sam Gilbert will seek medical advice from a surgeon after suffering an injury to his foot in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against Richmond.
Gilbert experienced a recurrence of the foot injury that affected him earlier in the season and will now meet with Sydney-based surgeon Kim Slater, a foot and ankle specialist.
He will miss St Kilda’s final home and away game of the 2014 season against Adelaide with further action around the injury still to be determined.
