FOUR Saints players will begin their pre-season training with slightly more bristled upper lip.

Billy Longer, Farren Ray, Tom Hickey and Tom Lee have all committed to Movember, a campaign which aims to raise money and awareness for men's health diseases such as testicular cancer, prostate cancer and mental illness.

Approaching its 12th year, over 4 million men across 21 countries have participated in Movember since its beginning in 2003. In Australia alone, $443 million has been raised.

Longer said it was great to see a selection of his teammates and fellow AFL players getting onboard for a good cause.

"We're hoping to raise as much money as possible for men's health, which can be overlooked in society sometimes," the ruckman told SAINTS.com.au.

"It's important to recognise the importance of regular check ups, and growing a dirty mo is a small price to pay for such a worthwhile cause."

From Saturday November 1 to Monday December 1, Longer, Ray, Hickey and Lee will be receiving donations for their cause.
