ST KILDA has re-drafted experienced half-forward Adam Schneider with pick 54 in this morning's National Draft.

The left-footer has played 213 AFL games since debuting in round one, 2003. A premiership player for Sydney,  Schneider arrived at St Kilda at the end of 2007 and has played 115 matches for the Saints since.

Recruiting Manager Tony Elshaug said Schneider still has an important role to play at Linen House Centre in 2015.

"Adam is a very smart person and will be a great mentor for the young players and we look forward to his contribution in that area this coming year," Elshaug told SAINTS.com.au.

"There are still opportunities for him to still play AFL football obviously."

After struggling with various injuries early in the year, Schneider played 13 senior matches in 2014 and booted eight goals.
