ST KILDA Football Club, in conjunction with homebuilder Watersun, is pleased to present Footy Foundations, an exciting and innovative fundraising initiative, which will raise valuable funds for the Frankston and District Junior Football League (FDJFL) via a grants program.

St Kilda’s coaches’ partner, Watersun, has constructed a beautiful home in Sandhurst which will be auctioned on Saturday 16 May at 11am and part of the proceeds will go towards the Footy Foundations Grants Program.

The Footy Foundations Grants Program provides the opportunity for clubs who are members of the Frankston & District Junior Football League to access financial assistance to clubs where there is a specific need. Grants will relate to equipment such as coaching boards, training aids and apparel, infrastructure such as coaches boxes and office space and coaching and team development.

Earlier this year, Saints defender Sam Gilbert visited The Pines Junior FC – one of the clubs in the FDJFL – who will be fielding their inaugural girls team in 2015. He met Scott White and Sam Ryan who are looking to building female change rooms at their Frankston North oval to ensure the future of their girls team.

For this reason they are a prime candidate to be beneficiary of the Footy Foundations Grants Program.

There will be four funding periods with grants of $5,000 in total available in each period for a total of $20,000 overall. All clubs in the Frankston & District Junior Football League are eligible for grants and the grant window for the first round of granting is now open for any interested clubs. Applications will close at 5pm on Friday May 29th 2015.
