The highest Fantasy scorer across the league was our very own Jack Steven (MID, $621,000) this week with a massive 166pts. This consisted of 37 touches, 12 hard tackles and nine marks. This was Steven’s best Fantasy score in his career, topping the 145 he scored against the Blues in 2013.

Despite the result, the Saints were in the points again this week with four players cracking triple figures. Leigh Montagna (MID, $523,000) returned after missing round seven with a very handy 123 and David Armitage (MID, $623,000) kept his run of seven consecutive 100+ scores going and is still averaging a very nice 117 this year.

Maverick Weller (MID, $368,000) had a great game tagging West Coast’s Mark LeCras (55pts) and hit the score board himself for a very respectable 92pts.

ON THE RADAR

With injuries to Jimmy Webster and Sam Fisher on the weekend, Blake Acres (MID, $163,000) may just get more of a chance. He has played two games this year and started in the vest each time. Acres is a first round draft pick who is certainly one to watch, especially with the limited downgrade options we currently have.

WHAT’S COMING UP

This week, the Saints travel north to take on the Brisbane Lions at the GABBA. Last time they met, was in the ANZAC Day game in Wellington (NZ) in 2014 where Jack Steven scored 108 and Leigh Montagna claimed the ANZAC Day medal for his massive 158. We lost that game by 3 points and will look to reverse that result on Sunday afternoon.

All the best for the round ahead.
