THE Saints and not-for-profit organisation St Kilda Mums are calling on the community to share their St Kilda spirit by donating new or pre-loved coats for kids to ensure they reach families most in need of warm winter woollies.

The organisations are working together to find more than 1000 coats for babies and children in need as part of a ‘Coats for Kids’ campaign.

Running from July 1st until August 14th, the campaign will see coat bins set up at both Seaford and Moorabbin for drop off.

St Kilda Mums is a volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation based in St Kilda supporting families all across Melbourne that re-homes new and pre-loved baby goods to families in need.

Donations are then checked, sorted and distributed to families experiencing hardship through established partnerships between St Kilda Mums, Maternal and Child Health Nurses, and various local social service agencies.

Coats can be dropped into St Kilda Football Club reception during regular business hours (Monday to Friday) at either 151 East RoadLinen House Centre, Seaford or Linton Street, Moorabbin.

The coats / jackets must be:

    • Good quality, new or pre-loved coats and warm jackets       for babies and children
    • To fit newborns through to 10 year old children
    • Freshly washed and 'ready to wear'
    • No holes, tears or bad staining
    • Please understand that St Kilda Mums is       volunteer-run.  Coats requiring laundering or repair work add to       their load, while we're trying to share it.  We ask that Saints       community donate good quality coats that are 'ready to wear'.

Enjoy the footy, rug up and keep warm this winter... And donate any pre-loved children's coats to the St Kilda Mums Coats for Kids campaign.
