Melbourne indie rock kings British India will bring some high octane rock and roll to the ‘Saints Unplugged’benefit night to be held at the Prince Bandroom in St Kilda on Thursday July 23rd. 

St Kilda’s bayside heartland will play host to one of the most unique events on the entertainment calendar next month when Saints Unplugged is unveiled by St Kilda’s coterie group the True Believers.

Triple M’s Lee Simon will host the event featuring British India as the headline act, alongside Tex Perkins, Sean Marchetti and Billy Miller.

All funds raised at the event will go towards Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision (MRV), which aims to raise awareness for Bone Marrow Failures. The Saints will also host the charity’s major fundraiser, ‘Maddie’s match’, in Round 16.

The evening will also include a special auction with once in a lifetime experiences available for purchase with all profits being donated to MRV.

Tickets are $50 and will include canapés. Drinks will be available at bar prices.

British India’s new album ‘Nothing Touches Me’ reached No5 in the ARIA charts this year. The band have just returned from a 25 date ‘Sell Out’ tour of Australia, their most successful to date. The band were were handpicked to play with The Rolling Stones  on their ’14 On Fire Tour’ 2014 and chosen to replace ‘Black Keys’ at the coveted ‘Byron Bay Blues’ Festival earlier this year.
