EAST Sandringham Junior Football Club had a taste of the big league on Sunday when St Kilda Football Club brought its match day fan experience to the under 12s.

The East Sandringham juniors were selected on the back of a promotion where the team purchased the highest number of junior St Kilda memberships in the South Metro Junior Foootball League.

The Saints sent a handful of players out along with their match day activation team and club mascots to the East Sandy’s home ground, replicating the Etihad game day atmosphere at Chisholm Reserve.

Bayside local and rising star nominee Jack Lonie thanked the local club and emphasised the importance of grassroots support.

“We’re here to say thanks and give them a real game day experience,” Lonie said.

“The memberships don’t go unnoticed.”

T-Shirt cannons, beach balls, selfie sticks and prizes were all on offer to the local team and their families as young and old jumped at the opportunity to meet their favorite St Kilda players.

Activities at each break had the kids enlivened, with the club running relay races and games during the breaks in what was a great afternoon that enhanced ties between the club and bayside grassroots football.
