NICK Riewoldt’s expected return headlines this week’s injury news.

The Saints skipper, who has played 293 games since debuting in 2001, was rested for St Kilda’s round 18 clash against Port Adelaide with calf soreness.

“Nick is available this week,” Head physio Andrew Wallis told SAINTS.com.au.

“He obviously didn’t play last week but he trained today, will train on Thursday, and will be available for selection.”

In a further boost for the Saints, Sam Gilbert and Jack Lonie will also be available for selection after both missing last week’s game.

Meanwhile, defender Jimmy Webster has groin soreness and will be sidelined for one week.

“Jimmy has a bit of groin soreness but we only see it as a one week injury,” Wallis said.

Long-termers Jack Billings and Tom Curren are continuing their rehabilitation, with Curren still considered a chance to return for VFL finals.

“Tom is about to start running but he won’t play for about seven or eight weeks,” Wallis said.
