Sandringham senior coach and St Kilda development coach Paul Hudson runs a ruler over the individual performance of the Saints-listed players following Sunday's win.

MATCH REPORT: Zebras consolidate top two spot

VFL STATS: Round 19

Luke Delaney

We gave Luke a specific job, and although his opponent kicked five, at least two of these were when Luke wasn’t on him. It was probably an average game in Del’s eyes and he didn’t influence himself with marks as much.

Tom Simpkin

Tom started down back and pushed into the midfield in the second term. He kicked a goal and was really important for us in the clinches with his tackling and attack on the footy. I thought he was instrumental in our win. His presence intimidates a lot of opposition players.

Ahmed Saad

Ahmed was lively with six shots at goal and four majors in the end. He was difficult to play on and he was probably the best player on the ground. He has been working hard at getting front and square and he did that.

Daniel Markworth

Daniel was a bit in and out of the game. Towards the back end of the match he lifted and kicked a goal too.

Arryn Siposs

Arryn was going pretty well playing as a high half-forward. Unfortunately he got knocked out after having a head clash with Tom Simpkin and was stretchered off just before half-time.

Paddy McCartin

Paddy kicked 2.2 and took six marks. His timing with his marking was probably marginally off. He was getting there too early which made it easy for his defender to spoil him. He’ll be better for the run after having a week off.

Lewis Pierce

Lewis competed against Dawson Simpson really well. He gave 100 per cent and had six touches in the first quarter to complement his excellent ruck work and around the ground play.

Spencer White

We wanted Spencer to play a certain way up forward and although he did some good things and kicked the first goal, he was probably a little inconsistent. To his credit, the effort was there in chasing and tackling. That was a big improvement.
