St Kilda Coach Alan Richardson and the match committee may opt to make some personnel changes following Sunday’s triple figure loss to West Coast in Perth.

Key defender Sam Fisher didn’t travel to Western Australia due to general soreness, but he could be brought straight back into the team to help stabilise a back six that was under siege last weekend. The experienced backman will need to prove his fitness later in the week before being declared fit to face the Bombers.

Midfielder Eli Templeton, rebounding defender Brodie Murdoch and untried ruckman Lewis Pierce were all travelling emergencies on the weekend and didn’t play at any level.

Given their form with Sandringham in the early part of this season, all three will come under strong consideration, with Pierce closing in on a debut following a strong pre-season and impressive start to 2016.

Templeton has played two senior games this year, in Round 1 and Round 4, whilst Murdoch has not played in Richardson’s side since Round 23 last season.

Young key forward Paddy McCartin did his chances of a senior recall no harm with another eye-catching performance in the VFL. The 2014 No. 1 pick hasn’t played since Round 5 against Greater Western Sydney, but has compiled a strong fortnight with the Zebras playing across centre-half forward and deep inside 50.

Transformed backman Tom Lee pressed his claims for another opportunity at the highest level with a telling performance against Casey Scorpions. Named as Paul Hudson’s best player, the West Australian gathered 25 disposals and five marks to be one of the most valuable players on the ground.

Medium-sized forward Cam Shenton continued his strong form at Sandringham, producing another eye-catching performance on the weekend to put his hat in the selection ring. The South Australian impacted the scoreboard once again, booting three goals from 17 possessions to be one of Sandringham’s best players.
