After three consecutive wins, including last Saturday night’s inspiring victory over the Western Bulldogs, Alan Richardson and the match committee might elect to keep a settled line-up this weekend against North Melbourne.

Key forward Paddy McCartin (concussion) and key defender Sam Fisher (hamstring) are both set to resume after missing the last three weeks and eight weeks respectively.

But given the state of the Saints side and their time out of the game, the pair might return via the VFL.

Despite Sandringham’s disappointing loss to Casey on Sunday, there are some players putting their hand up for senior opportunity.

Transformed defender Tom Lee was again one of the Zebras best players, following up a strong effort a week earlier against Port Melbourne, with a composed effort in difficult conditions.

With the Kangaroos possessing a tall forward line, potentially including Jarrad Waite who missed last week due to hip soreness, Richardson may want to bolster his key defensive stocks. Luke Delaney is another option here also.

Eli Templeton and Darren Minchington were both named as emergencies last Saturday night, with the latter not playing at any level.

Templeton has been one of the most consistent players at Sandringham this season, while Minchington has played ten senior games. Both remain part of that next group of players in line for senior selection.

Cam Shenton is another player who is in the selection mix. The versatile forward has sustained form at VFL level and has been part of match committee discussions for some time now.

Despite not playing at AFL level since Round 21, 2015, Shenton has been a picture of consistency at Sandringham, thriving across half-forward with his pressure and goal nous standing out.
