St Kilda pair Nick Riewoldt and Dylan Roberton have earned spots in AFL Media’s Round 23 team of the week, following their standout performances in the Saints’ 58-point win over Brisbane on Sunday.

Riewoldt, 33, produced a virtuoso effort at Etihad Stadium; winding back the clock to remind the football landscape how good he can be as a permanent forward.

The five-time All Australian finished with an equal career-best nine goals, a personal best 21 marks (12 inside 50), 26 possessions and 15 score involvements – the most of any player in Round 23.

While at the other end of the ground, Roberton was the Saints’ architect in defence, setting up attack from the back half. The rebounding defender finished with 23 disposals and used the ball at an elite 95 per cent efficiency.

Roberton also accumulated eight rebound 50s – the most of any player on the ground – four inside 50s and four goal assists in one of his best games of the season.
