St Kilda Football Club is thrilled to announce a new compression gear partner in Virus Action Sport Performance.

While infectious in name, Virus is focused on health and wellbeing, and their products have been designed to enable players to train for longer and recover faster.

St Kilda Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer Christine Finnegan said the partnership would see all Saints players in Virus gear during training and recovery.

“We’re really excited to be able to provide our players with gear that will assist them in reaching their full potential on the field,” Finnegan said.

“Virus use industry leading technology to produce high end, world class products including their BIOCERAMIC range.

“We’re constantly looking for ways to enable our players to be their best and this partnership is just another way to do that.”

St Kilda High Performance Manager Matt Hornsby said the partnership would allow Saints players to train with technical apparel that keeps up with them.

“There are definite advantages to wearing compression gear while training,” Hornsby said.

“The right kind of gear can keep you cool when needed, keep you insulated when required and potentially reduce fatigue – Virus is that kind of gear.”

Virus Action Sport Performance said they are looking forward to a prosperous partnership with the Saints.

“We’re really excited for what the future holds,” they said.

“Our goal is to assist athletes in their individual pursuit to train, recover and perform and we look forward to helping the Saints in that way.”

Saints member will receive a discount code in the coming days, enabling them to purchase Virus gear at a special price.
