St Kilda midfielder Seb Ross has been rewarded for his standout performance against Collingwood on Easter Sunday, earning nine coaches votes from Alan Richardson and Nathan Buckley.

The 23-year-old went head-to-head with Magpies star Adam Treloar and got the better of the duel, finishing with 36 possessions – the second highest haul of his career – 12 contested possessions, seven inside 50s and five clearances.

Unassuming backman Jarryn Geary received five votes from the coaches after he played a critical role down back nullifying dangerous Collingwood forward Alex Fasolo, while also catching the eye with his fearless attack on the ball.

Versatile tall defender Dylan Roberton also earned a handful of votes for his starring performance across half-back. The former Docker collected 32 disposals, 595 metres gained, 12 marks and six rebound 50s.

Tasmanian defender Jimmy Webster produced one of the best efforts of his career to date, continuing his strong start to the year by gathering 25 touches and using the ball at an elite efficiency rate of 92.3 per cent.

After the opening month of 2017, Port Adelaide midfielder Ollie Wines is still in the lead on 24 votes, one vote ahead of Richmond star Dustin Martin and Adelaide bull Rory Sloane.
