St Kilda has almost a full clean bill of health after six rounds, with only David Armitage and Josh Battle sidelined by injury.

Seasoned star Armitage underwent an adductor release in Sydney last week and is two weeks away from running and will need another week or two on the track before being available for selection.

“Dave Armitage had adductor release surgery during the week up in Sydney and all went well,” St Kilda GM Football Performance Jamie Cox told saints.com.au on Tuesday.

“Dave will probably take it easy now for a week or two and will probably start running next week some time.

“He’s probably at least three weeks away from a football return, so a bit of time for Dave but all is progressing well.”

Monday Wash-Up: Round 5 v Geelong

Battle, St Kilda’s second pick (No. 39) in last November’s National Draft, injured his knee in Sandringham’s loss to Richmond in Round 2 of the VFL season.

Cox said the budding mobile forward has escaped structural damage and is expected to miss at least a fortnight with bone bruising.

“Josh Battle got tackled a couple of weeks ago in the VFL game against Richmond and damaged his knee,” Cox told saints.com.au on Tuesday afternoon.

“It’s structurally sound which is the good news. Josh has got a bit of bone bruising.

“It’s really now just pain management and building him back up. He’s probably at least another couple of weeks away from football.”

Injury List 2/5/17

David Armitage (groin) 3-4 weeks
Josh Battle (knee bone bruising) 2-4 weeks
