When Maddie Riewoldt knew her five-year battle with bone marrow failure was ending, she asked her family to make sure her suffering would make a difference. Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision is that difference and has been established to fund medical research into finding new treatments, ultimately, with an aim to finding a cure.

Maddie’s Vision was established in 2015 following the passing of Maddie, sister of club champion Nick and cousin of Tigers’ forward, Jack Riewoldt.

“Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome is a condition that often affects young people and stops them from being able to produce blood cells and platelets every day,” Nick said.

“Football fans, time and time again, have proven to be extremely generous and supportive and I have no doubt that will be the same this year at Maddie’s Match.

“As a family, we are committed to continuing Maddie’s mission to help others who are fighting this horrible disease.”

St Kilda Football Club has been a proud supporter of Maddie's Vision since it was founded and will be hosting ‘Maddie’s Match’ in Round 16, St Kilda v Richmond to continue this support.

This year, you can support Maddie’s Vision by purchasing Maddie’s Membership. For $50 your membership will include two tickets to Level 1 reserved seating to the Maddie’s Match, Maddie’s Vision pin and shoelaces along with a membership core pack. Most importantly, your membership will automatically include a $5 donation to Maddie’s Vision.

Not only are you helping to spread awareness about this disease and keeping Maddie’s legacy alive, you will also receive a personally signed letter from Nick and go in the draw to win lunch with him.

Already a member? You can still get involved. For $30, you can add the above benefits onto your membership and help support this cause.

We are encouraging all members and fans to be dressed head to toe in purple. We are selling limited edition purple Saints guernseys, Maddie’s Vision scarves, pins, laces and footballs, with a percentage of proceeds going directly to the charity. If you haven’t yet purchased your purple merchandise, visit shop.saints.com.au or head to Saints Locker outlets on game day to be a part of the purple army.

We look forward to all footy supporters rallying together to find a cure for the syndromes that affect young Australians each year.
