St Kilda forward Tim Membrey has been offered a two-match suspension for striking Richmond defender Dylan Grimes in Saturday night’s 67-point win at Etihad Stadium.
The Match Review Panel assessed the incident as careless conduct with high impact to the body.
The incident was classified as a three-match sanction but can be reduced to a two-match ban with an early guilty plea due to Membrey’s clean record.
Despite the incident in the second quarter, Membrey was one of St Kilda’s stars on Saturday night, finishing with 5.0 from 11 disposals and nine marks in his best performance for the year.
