Maddie’s Match: Round 16, 2017 will be hard to shake from the memory. St Kilda Football Club turned the stadium purple, the pre-game entertainment lit up the night and the playing group took the game to another level. In the lead-up to the 8 July clash against Richmond, the Saints introduced their new membership product “Maddie’s Membership”. For new members, $50 (or $30 for to upgrade for an existing member) you got two level one seats, Maddie’s Vision pin and shoelaces and put you in the running to win lunch with Nick Riewoldt.

Over 900 memberships were sold raising $4, 720 for Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision from membership sales alone.

For one lucky Saints fan, helping the cause is not the only thing they’ve taken away from Maddie’s Match; congratulations to Karen from Bundoora – a loyal Saint of 18 years, who has won lunch with Nick!

The success of the night can be measured in many different ways. One of these ways is the overwhelming awareness raised for bone marrow failure syndrome and the work that can now be done as a result of the generosity of the football community.
