One of the all time greats of the game, our longest serving captain, six-time Trevor Barker Award winner, five-time All Australian and club champion, Nick Riewoldt, is hanging up his boots.

Next Sunday, 20 August (St Kilda v North Melbourne), be part of the celebrations as we ‘Thank Rooey’ in his last home game – ever.

Speaking in his press conference last week, Rooey spoke of the pride in playing for the red, white and black. “I’ve been in a hugely privileged position playing a sport I love for a club that I love for 17 years,” he said.

Let’s show Nick that we, too, feel that pride by filling Etihad Stadium for his final home game. Throughout the afternoon, fans, supporters, staff, coaches and family will show their gratitude to a player that has dedicated half his life to the St Kilda Football Club.

Rooey’s athleticism, dedication and commitment to his football have been well documented over his stellar career. His last home game will be an historic occasion that will be acknowledged by the Saints and the wider football community.

Rooey tees and caps will be available to purchase at the ground (and online) and we are encouraging all members and supporters to show their appreciation of Saint Nick by wearing your “Thanks Rooey” gear.

Tickets are available via Ticketmaster. Get there when gates open at 1:30 pm so you don’t miss a moment of the action.
