St Kilda key defender Jake Carlisle has been cleared of two striking charges from Sunday’s win over North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.

Carlisle, 25, was reported for striking North Melbourne defender Luke McDonald at quarter-time and midfielder Declan Mountford shortly afterwards.

The Match Review Panel assessed both incidents as contact made with an open hand to the chest.

The MRP deemed the contact was below the required impact to constitute a reportable offence.

Carlisle experienced an eventful day on Sunday after a back issue in the warm-up almost prevented him from taking his place in the side.
