St Kilda Assistant Coach Adam Skrobalak will take the reins of the Frankston Football Club next season as the Dolphins’ return to the VFL.

Skrobalak, who has worked with the club’s ruck and midfield groups over the past three seasons, will retain a part-time coaching role with the Saints while taking on the additional work at the Dolphins for 2018 and 2019.

“I am extremely excited to be appointed as Senior Coach of the Frankston Football Club and fully understand the challenge ahead as we re-enter the VFL,” Skrobalak said.

“Our aim is to create an elite football environment where players can challenge themselves at VFL level and as a group work to become a revered football club both on and off the field.

“Personally, the opportunity to coach in my own right and lead the on-field direction of such a proud club is an honour.”

St Kilda General Manager of Football Performance Jamie Cox said Skrobalak’s appointment was a great opportunity for the developing coach.

“Adam is a really committed, hard-working coach who will no doubt do all he can to get the best out of the Frankston boys.

“We’re pleased to support him whilst also retaining his services here at the Saints.”

2018 will see Frankston re-enter the VFL competition after relinquishing its licence in 2016.

Players interested in joining the Dolphins are invited to attend an information session this Thursday night (Thursday 12 October 2017). For more information visit the Frankston Dolphins’ website.
