Voting for Triple J's Hottest 100 has opened, and saints.com.au wants to help you out.

We understand that narrowing down your shortlist is an agonising process. How are you supposed to pick just 10 songs from a full year of music?

To make it easier for you, we asked the players to submit their top three songs for the year and have compiled their votes into a definitive Saints' top 10.

This is the result.

It's clear that US artist Post Malone is a favourite among the playing group, his hits 'Rockstar', 'Candy Paint' and 'I Fall Apart' all featuring in the Saints' Top 10.

Just two Australian acts made the cut, with Byron Bay's Skegss and Perth's Methyl Ethel claiming two of the top four spots on the list.

Honourable mentions go to Shane Savage and Jimmy Webster, who despite nominating Ricky Martin's 'Livin' la Vida Loca' and 'Shake Your Bon-Bon' respectively, couldn't get either over the line.
