Since the end of 2012, St Kilda has only had one All-Australian, but that could all change by the end of this season.

Reigning Trevor Barker Award winner Seb Ross is the player Saints supporters believe can end this dry spell, according to a recent fan survey.

The star midfielder followed up a breakout 2016 with a brilliant 2017, and with another flawless pre-season under his belt, the 24-year-old could enter the next bracket in 2018.

But while Ross amassed the most votes, it wasn’t by much.

Rising star Jack Billings polled only 1.3 per cent less votes than Ross following his stunning breakout season in 2017, where he played every game for the first time in his career and finished 5th in the Trevor Barker Award.

Safe to say St Kilda fans are confident the smooth moving half-forward is on the verge of exploding.

There is a gap between these two in the voting, with three-time best and fairest winner Jack Steven, centre-half back Jake Carlisle and rebounding defender Dylan Roberton – who was named in the All-Australian squad last year – not separated by much.

The Results:

Seb Ross 28%
Jack Billings 26.7%
Jack Steven 12.7%
Jake Carlisle 11.9%
Dylan Roberton 9.3%
