The Saints today confirmed four changes to the team ahead of the clash with Geelong Cats on Sunday afternoon at GMHBA Stadium.

The twilight match has become one of the most intriguing games of the weekend, with the Saints and Cats both suffering consecutive losses.

Veteran Sam Gilbert was named in the starting 18 on Thursday night with Tom Hickey, Jack Steele and Jack Lonie confirmed inclusions today.

The changes mean David Armitage and Josh Bruce join Nathan Wright and Jimmy Webster (hip) as outs from the team that fell to Adelaide Crows in Round 3.

Bruce will miss Sandringham’s VFL clash on Sunday afternoon, also at GMHBA Stadium, with back soreness, and has been replaced in the 26-man squad by Josh Battle.

Battle, who played one match in his first year at the Saints in 2017, joins Logan Austin, Hunter Clark, and Armitage as the listed emergencies.

Gilbert, Steele, Hickey and Lonie were all named in the bests for the Zebras last weekend, with Lonie (four goals) and Steele (35 touches and 11 tackles) dominating the stats sheet.

The inclusion of Gilbert sees the veteran defender line-up for game 198, while Hickey earns his chance in the ruck after playing five games in 2017.

Round 4: Geelong Cats v St Kilda
GMHBA Stadium, Sunday 15 April at 4:40 pm.
