Koby Stevens is expected to be sidelined for several weeks after experiencing symptoms believed to be related to delayed onset concussion.

Stevens didn’t play at any level on Sunday after presenting with concussion-like symptoms at training ahead of Round 4.

Despite experiencing a head knock in Round 1, no subsequent signs of concussion were initially evident. However, Koby later reported a number of symptoms that had evolved by in the lead up to Round 4.

General Manager of Football Simon Lethlean said the club would follow the standard assessment protocols before the 26-year-old returned.

“As is normal practice, Koby won’t return to training until the symptoms have subsided and he’s given the all clear from our doctors," Lethlean said.

“While we can’t put a timeframe on that, he’ll continue to work closely with our conditioning and medical teams over the next few weeks and complete the necessary tests.”
