Tasmanian-born Jimmy Webster will give the Saints’ backline an injection of experience when they face the Hawks in Launceston this Saturday night.

Webster has spent the last two weeks on the sidelines whilst dealing with a hip flexor issue, but after training strongly on both Tuesday and Thursday, the 24-year-old will line up alongside veteran Sam Gilbert in the backline, who plays his 200th game for the Saints.

The unlucky omission for Webster is first-year Hunter Clark, who will miss the trip to Tasmania after a relatively quiet outing against the Giants.

Rowan Marshall has recovered fully from the concussion that kept him out of the side that drew with GWS, but the 22-year-old has been squeezed out of a senior recall following Tom Hickey’s influential shift for the Saints.

Mav Weller keeps his spot after the 26-year-old played a crucial role last Saturday in his first game for the Saints in 2018. Weller was fierce at the contest, applying the brutal level of pressure he’s become known for and collecting 25 disposals and a goal.

David Armitage just misses out after two dominant weeks in the VFL, whilst Josh Bruce, Dylan Roberton and Koby Stevens will miss through injury.

Josh Bruce is on the road to recovery after sustaining a stress fracture in his back, whilst Dylan Roberton and Koby Stevens continue to be monitored.
