Jake Carlisle is set to make his return against the Blues on Friday night at Etihad Stadium.

Head Physiotherapist Andrew Wallis confirmed that Carlisle would be available for selection after successfully recovering from a punctured lung.

The defender missed St Kilda's clash with Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval and would be a welcome addition to Alan Richardson's back six.

In good news for Josh Battle, the young forward could be available for selection as early as next week after fracturing his eye socket against the Demons.

Battle reported soreness around his eye after Round 15's win over Melbourne and was sent for scans as a precaution.
