Despite having one of his less dominant years in 2011, Nick Riewoldt was still crucial to the Saints appearing in their fourth finals appearance in a row.

 Nick led the Saints in marks (154), uncontested marks, marks inside the 50, and finished second in goals, kicking 36.

 The well decorated 29-year-old has been one of the competitions best forwards since debuting back in 2001.

 His outstanding marking ability, pace and endurance make him a nightmare for opposition defences to negate.

 In 2011, Nick played his 200th game for the Club and heads in to the 2012 season sitting on 473 goals.

The Saints number 1 pick in the 2000 AFL Draft, was named St Kilda’s 2012 Captain for the sixth time during his Club career. Only Danny Frawley has captained the Club on more occasions, holding the honourable position for nine seasons.

 At the end of the 2011 season, Nick underwent knee surgery undergoing an individual rehab program during the off-season, returning to full training in early January.

During the off-season, Nick became engaged to Catherine Heard.
