Ted Widmer signed with the Saints in early 2009 as part of the NSW Scholarship Program.
Standing at 191cm and weighing in at 80kg, Widmer was an elite rower at Newington College in Sydney where he recently completed his HSC at just 17 years of age. He plays his football alongside Josh Duncan at Pennant Hills which is the same Club that provided the Saints with Lenny Hayes and Blake McGrath, who was a recent addition to the rookie list.
