While the Saints have been back in training since the latter stages of 2009, today was the first opportunity for our supporters to see the boys in their first open session of 2010.
Several hundred St Kilda fans arrived at Linen House Oval in Moorabbin to see their heroes in action as they prepare for the year of football ahead.
The session started at 10:00am as the team stretched, ran and completed some light skills. The players then completed targeted training drills on various parts of the ground, giving the spectators that had turned up plenty to see.
Most of the list was in action with the exception of the defenders who were completing indoor work.
Following the session, the players were more than willing to sign autographs, pose for photos and have a chat to the many fans that had taken the time to come down and watch training on what was an uncharacteristically brisk summer morning.
The club will advise details for our next open training session shortly and will publish this on the
website,
Facebook and
Twitter.
