The Saints kicked off their 2010 Community Camp on the Mornington Peninsula this afternoon with a media conference and civic reception at Dromana Football Club.
Ross Lyon and the players were welcomed by Local Ward Councillor, Graham Pittock who spoke briefly about how excited the local area was to have the opportunity to meet the Saints and looked forward to us taking occupancy at Frankston from the end of this season.
The players went straight from the reception to a host of Mornington Peninsula schools to conduct clinics with eager young locals and following that, visited Rosebud Hospital to spread some cheer and offer a lift to those currently receiving care.
St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt said, “The Telstra AFL Community Camp is a great opportunity for all Clubs to help make a difference at grassroots level. It’s especially important for the Saints as we look forward to moving to this region at the end of the 2010 season.”
The first day of St Kilda’s Community Camp will be capped by a free Auskick super clinic and autograph session at Dromana Football Club from 4:30pm.
