The Saints Next Generation Community Program aims to increase engagement and participation outcomes for 11-18-year-old boys and girls across our NGA zone with a particular focus on providing opportunities for indigenous and multicultural youth.

Next Generation Schools Program

The NGA community stream includes the Saints NGA Multicultural Schools Program. This program targets schools in the Saints NGA zone which have a high percentage of ‘Culturally and Linguistically Diverse’ (CALD) students. It consists of 4 progressive football sessions which are fun and engaging and are designed to enhance the fundamental skills of participants.

NGA High School Academy program

In 2018 the Saints NGA has partnered with two Secondary Schools in the Bayside area who will deliver Saints affiliated Academy programs. These schools are Cheltenham Secondary College and Bentleigh Secondary College. Their programs will align with the coaching philosophies and principles of the Saints NGA and the schools will be beneficiaries of Saints coaching and wider staff resourcing as they facilitate sessions designed to enhance on-field football skills as well as off-field life skills.

Multicultural & Indigenous program

Several specific community group initiatives will be facilitated by the Saints as part of the NGA Community program. This will include football development sessions run in partnership with the ‘New Hope Homework Club’ which is a program for Sudanese youth in the Frankston area designed to assist participants with their education along with connecting them to their local community.

Other NGA Community initiatives include:

  • AMC Indigenous Scholarship
  • Community Partnerships: FDJFL | SMJFL
  • Talent Program Partnerships: Dandenong Southern Stingrays | Sandringham Dragons
