Nick Walsh’s time in the AFL began as an Irish recruit to the Melbourne Football Club in 2001.

After three years at the Demons, he returned to Ireland, playing elite level Gaelic Football for eight years.

Upon his return he joined Greater Western Sydney, holding the roles of High Performance and rehab coach, backline/team defence coach and development coach during his eight-year tenure.

Walsh then left clubland, taking up a program management position at the AFL Coaches’ Association, where he implemented the nation-wide ‘Tackle Your Feelings’ program.

2021 will see Walsh at the helm of the Saints’ fitness program as the Head of Performance and Conditioning.
