St Kilda's Round 5 match against GWS has been postponed, but the club will make up for lost time this coming Tuesday evening in time for its rescheduled encounter with West Coast.

Multiple players from GWS' AFLW program have currently entered AFL Health and Safety Protocols, resulting in Saturday’s game at Henson Park to be removed from this week's block of games.

The Saints will instead host the Eagles as part of Round 5, with the match to be held at Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval on Tuesday 8 February commencing at 5:10pm. The game will be broadcast live on Fox Footy, Kayo and the AFLW Official App.

St Kilda's initial encounter with West Coast – which moved to SkyBus Stadium following initial fixture changes – was postponed late last week after the Eagles lost several players to AFL Health and Safety protocols.

A rescheduled date for the match between the Saints and Giants will be confirmed at a later date.

“While the ongoing pandemic continues to impact and challenge our competition and our wider community, we want to thank every AFLW Club, players and the AFLPA, umpires, venues, governments, ticketing agents and all supporters for their understanding and commitment to the 2022 NAB AFL Women’s Competition,” AFL General Manager Competition Management Laura Kane said.

“The fixture remains a week-to-week proposition and the AFL will continue to work closely with respective state governments and health authorities on arrangements that both protects the health and safety of the community and allows us to progress the NAB AFLW season.”

Updated ticketing information regarding the 2022 NAB AFLW fixture will be communicated in the coming days.
