Am I eligible to sign up for the program?

The Saints Edge experience is open to players of all abilities and backgrounds (both boys and girls). Whether you’re new to the game, want to improve your football or are just excited to meet the players, this program is designed to suit the needs of everyone.

First in, best dressed:

To make sure the Saints Edge experience is the best it can possibly be, we’ve set up an exclusive program with limited spots available. Please register as soon as possible to secure your spot as it’s first in, best dressed.

I missed out on my Saints Edge spot, what happens now?

Unfortunately, Saints Edge spots are strictly limited. If you missed out in 2019, you will be placed on the emergency list and may be called up if current participants pull out of the program. You’ll also be automatically placed on next year’s waiting list, where you’ll have first access to register.

Is this a talent program?

Saints Edge is a great opportunity to further develop your football and gain a valuable insight into the day to day life of an AFL footballer. However, the experience is not a part of the regional talent pathway.

Can I still participate if I’m in a talent pathway program?

All Saints Edge sessions are held during the school holidays, so it won’t conflict with training for any players in talent pathway programs.

I expressed my interest but didn’t get an opportunity to register:

All participants who expressed an interest were offered an exclusive priority week to register before opening to the public. Participants were notified via email, phone call and text to register before closing date.

I have a friend who is interested but can’t register:

All participants who expressed an interest were offered an exclusive priority week to register. Due to high demand, spots were available to the first 200 participants who registered. All are still welcome to contact us and provide their details to be placed on the waiting list.

I’ve paid & registered for Saints Edge, what happens next?

Once you’ve paid and registered, we’ll send you a follow-up email where you’ll be required to fill in some further details to ensure you’re prepared for the first session.

I’m experiencing problems with payment:

Please contact membership@saints.com.au if you are experiencing any problems with registration to the program or making payment. Please note there are payment plan options available.

When will the Saints Edge sessions be held?

All sessions will be held during the school holidays. Players will participate in one session per week over each school holiday period in 2019 (April, July & September school holidays).

Please refer to the schedule on the "What is Saints Edge?" page for further details.

What if I can’t attend a session?

We understand participants might not be able attend all sessions, but unfortunately there will be no refund for any missed sessions.

What if I can’t attend the match-day experience?

If you are unable to attend the match-day experience on 22 June, we can organise an alternate game for you.

When will I find out about my squad?

Now that you are officially registered, our team will be working hard before the first session to finalise squads. Once all spots in the program are filled, you will be notified of your squad.

Will I be in a squad with my friend?

We will endeavor to match you with a friend upon request, but due to squad sizes and the program structure, we cannot guarantee a match.

When will I hear more details?

We will be in contact soon after you register with all the finer details leading up to the first session in April, 2019.

Will I play a game?

Saints Edge understands the importance of actual match play in developing its participants. So as part of the program, Saints Edge participants will have the opportunity to play a game against players in their age bracket (games will be held in school holiday sessions).

Will Saints players be in attendance?

Saints Edge is the only program of its kind where participants can train with Saints players! Although St Kilda players will not be at every session due to their busy football schedules, there will certainly be many opportunities to both meet and train with the players.

Will the Saints coaches be involved?

Another exclusive Saints Edge benefit is the hands-on involvement of several St Kilda coaches throughout the program.

Who is running the football development aspect of the program?

St Kilda coaching staff will oversee and help out with the football development sessions, which will be facilitated and delivered by Level 2 coaches from Dynamic Footy Skills.

What about my apparel?

Please register your apparel sizes in the secondary registration link. If you would like to change the size you entered, please let us know ASAP.

Apparel will be available at the first session and is included in the cost.

What is the refund policy?

No refunds will be issued for non-attendance at days throughout the program.

A full refund will be given if a participant decides to remove themselves prior to the program commencing.

A partial refund will be considered if a participant can no longer take their position in the program due to special circumstances.
