Jade Gresham will have the chance to play alongside Eddie Betts, Shaun Burgoyne and Bradley Hill in this year’s realestate.com.au AFLX tournament.

The 21-year-old received the call-up on Friday morning following Steven May’s withdrawal with injury.

Gresham became arguably the Saints’ best player in 2018, with his pace and flare in front of goal a shining light amid a disappointing season.

With an increased tank and a yearning for more time in the midfield, AFLX shapes as Gresham’s first chance to showcase his new found run.

Gresham joins Jack Billings, Tim Membrey and Jack Steele in the AFL X tournament on Friday, 22 February at Marvel Stadium.

General Manager of Football Simon Lethlean said the club was pleased to have their young stars rubbing shoulders with some of the game’s best.

“It’s a great opportunity for our guys and they are really looking forward to being part of it and learning from their peers,” he said.
