St Kilda’s AFLW side will begin its historic first pre-season supported by one of the world’s most recognisable brands.

McDonald’s has signed a three-year deal that will see them become the Saints’ official quick service restaurant and shorts sponsor of the AFLW team.

Among many partnership activations, McDonald’s will also be the club’s official Kick-to-Kick partner at both AFL and AFLW games.

Fans attending AFLW Games at RSEA Park will have the opportunity to take part in the McDonald’s Kick to Kick area prior to the game, with giveaways and players on hand to be part of the fun.

Acting St Kilda CEO Simon Lethlean said the support of McDonald’s was instrumental in the club establishing a strong women’s program.

“Since our entry to AFLW was officially announced, we have been able to build a strong base of commercial partners that allows us to provide our inaugural team with the access to resources and facilities they deserve,” he said.

The addition of an organisation such as McDonald’s is critical to building a sustainable program and we thank them for their commitment to the club and to women’s football more broadly.

“With McDonald’s already the AFL’s Kick-to-Kick partner, we look forward to working with them to make this an even greater feature at our home AFL and AFLW games.”

McDonald’s joins Reflex, Deliveroo (major partners) and AVJennings as partners in St Kilda’s inaugural AFLW team.
