THE Sandringham Zebras won its third consecutive game on the weekend, outclassing an Austinn Jones-coached Bendigo Gold by 75 points.

There were several St Kilda listed players who shone in the convincing win, notably Brodie Murdoch and Josh Saunders.

Both youngsters have played two AFL games this year after debuting in New Zealand four weeks ago, and were influential in the Zebras engine room on Saturday.

Saunders collected 27 disposals and laid four tackles, while Murdoch registered 24 touches and booted two goals and was one of the best afield.

Trent Dennis-Lane was lively in front of goal, booting three last term majors to finish with four for the match, while fellow Saint Tom Lee took 10 marks and presented strongly both as a ruckman and forward.

22-year-old Lee debuted against GWS in round three and also played against Sydney a fortnight later. He is one of eight promising Saints that have played between two and six games.

Rookies Tom Curren (31 disposals, 2 goals) and Jackson Ferguson were also impressive in the Zebras convincing win.

Sam Dunell travelled to Adelaide as an emergency for the senior team after showing consistent form at VFL level, while experienced players Jason Blake and Clint Jones also flew to South Australia as cover.

St Kilda faces the Western Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon at Etihad Stadium.
