St Kilda will be in line to regain experienced duo Nat Exon and Kate McCarthy in time for Saturday night's prime-time affair against Melbourne.

Exon sat out Indigenous Round after developing groin pain during last Wednesday's session, but with the flare-up settling down and a successful training session to her name last night, the 28-year-old is set to put her hand up for selection.

Former Lions teammate, McCarthy, is similarly progressing well after a delayed concussion sustained in Round 4. Pending no symptoms during Friday's contact training session, the small forward will be available for Saturday night's match.

The Saints could be without forward Jacqui Vogt (broken finger) however, with the injury incurred in the opening quarter against the Crows.

Vogt had surgery on Monday and will consult a specialist later today in the hopes of being an outside chance to come up against Melbourne.

Winger Molly McDonald is moving well through her rehabilitation and will commence running in the coming days, while there is no further update on Olivia Vesely (calf).

Jessica Matin reported some hamstring awareness at last night's training session and will undergo an MRI later today to determine if there is any injury.

Meanwhile, Selena Karlson developed Achilles pain/irritation following her VFLW return last fortnight and will eye a return to the Southern Saints line-up by next week.
